The Growing Crisis

Series One: Forest

This project started after watching the news about the Amazon forest fire. After seeing the destroyed forest, the loss of wildlife, and the homes of native people, I became concerned for our forests. A forest fire in the Amazon may seem unimportant to people who live outside South America, but forests are critical to maintaining our world’s ecosystem. These illustrations explore four issues that involve forest loss; forest fires, climate change, deforestation, and illegal logging. A booklet featuring these illustrations discusses each problem. The goal is to educate the audience about this growing concern for our environment and resolving them. With this project, I hope to provide a call to action to protect our forests and our world.
